À luz dos alertas de Rudolf Steiner, há um século, sobre as tecnologias etéricas e a ascensão das forças ahrimânicas, encontramo-nos hoje em um momento crítico. Em certo sentido, sim: a janela apontada por Rudolf Steiner passou sem que as  forças antroposóficas trouxessem com sucesso uma tecnologia etérica moralmente guiada. Mas Rudolf Steiner também enfatizou que o impulso crístico atua perpetuamente e que a liberdade humana permanece para sempre. Mesmo agora, o trabalho espiritual pode contrabalançar as forças arimânicas — mas serão necessários esforços conscientes e corajosos para redirecionar nossas culturas, vida social e tecnologias em direção ao despertar espiritual.

A tecnologia e a energia etéricas que Rudolf Steiner descreveu em 1918 são usurpadas pelas forças arimânicas pelo menos desde os anos 30 e 40 do século passado. Ao longo dos anos, voltamos nossa atenção para a previsão transumanista de Ray Kurzweil, de que a "singularidade tecnológica" seria alcançada até 2045. Agora podemos apontar para a convergência desse desenvolvimento com a aplicação controlada das novas tecnologias. Quando a consciência humana estiver totalmente integrada à realidade virtual, nove décimos do trabalho estarão obsoletos e toda a civilização será controlada por forças arimânicas. - Uma onda crescente de rebelião, inquietação e desilusão — exatamente as "massas rebeldes" que Steiner previu em 1918, cujas forças espirituais e sociais são frequentemente suprimidas através do poder da força e pelo entretenimento virtual.

Introduction

In light of Rudolf Steiner’s warnings a century ago about etheric technologies and the rise of Ahrimanic forces, we find ourselves today at a critical juncture. For the past century, the promise of etheric or advanced technological forces has been captured by materialistic, militarized, and elite-directed systems. Yet as we enter this new phase, that begun in 2025, there remains a path forward — one that integrates the urgent spiritual and creative work of initiatives like The College of the Global School of Spiritual Science (CGSSS), to guide humanity toward etheric renewal.

Historical Recap: Rudolf Steiner’s 1918 Warning

 In 1918, Steiner declared that within the next 20 years (1918–1938), anthroposophists had a window to develop ‘etheric technologies’ — sometimes referred to as the ‘Strader Machine’ or linked to American inventor John Keely’s ideas — which could draw on formative etheric forces for energy and human advancement. He warned that if such work was not taken up, Ahrimanic forces would seize these innovations and turn them toward control, mechanization, and the suppression of the human spirit.

  Looking back, the rise of fascism, totalitarianism, nuclear weapons, digital technologies, and globalized surveillance shows the tragic realization of Rudolf Steiner’s warning. The failure to develop spiritually guided etheric technologies allowed the materialistic West to channel those forces into domination and exploitation.

Did we miss the opportunity? Is the last century indeed ‘the lost century’ as Dr Greer claims?

In a sense, yes: the window Rudolf Steiner pointed to has passed without anthroposophical forces successfully bringing forward a morally guided etheric technology. But Rudolf Steiner also emphasized that the Christ impulse works perpetually, and that human freedom always remains. Even now, spiritual work can counterbalance Ahrimanic forces — but it will take conscious, courageous efforts to redirect our cultures, social life and technologies, toward spiritual awakening.

 The etheric technology and energy Rudolf Steiner described in 1918 is usurped by Ahrimanic forces at least since the 30’ and 40’ of last century. It is kept for almost a century in the greatest secrecy, exposed since the 90’ by Dr Greer’s disclosures. As Rudolf Steiner predicted, when it will finally be implemented,  it will deepen and worsen humanity’s spiritual and psychological crisis:  

The possibility will thus come about of rendering unnecessary nine-tenths of the work of individuals within the regions of the English-speaking peoples. Mechanistic occultism will not only render it possible to do without nine-tenths of the labor still performed at present by human hands, but will give the possibility also of paralyzing every uprising attempted by the then dissatisfied masses of humanity.

 Through the years we turned attention to Ray Kurzweil’s transhumanistic prediction, that the ‘technological singularity’ will be accomplished by 2045.  Now we can point to the convergence of this development with the controlled application of the new technologies. When human consciousness is fully merged with virtual reality, nine-tenths of the labore will be obsolete, and the entire civilization will be controlled by Ahrimanic forces. This makes the present years, from 2025 until 2045, so crucial.

Therefore, this determines our main task: before the middle of the century, the spiritual source of all life must be as visible and available to all human beings, and its applications in all domains of knowledge and life must have become practical and teachable. The new task of the College, the research and development faculty of the Global School of Spiritual Science, is this: based on the new spiritual forces actualized by the renewed foundation stone, to create the Michaelic response to the 'the lost century’, and to ensure that the 21^st century, Michael’s second and middle century, will not be lost as well. Before the middle of the century, humanity must be able to produce the forces required to spiritualize and energize all aspects of human knowledge and life, or continue to fall into the grave of civilization.

Current Situation: Where We Stand Today

In 2025, the world is witnessing:

Massive labor replacement through automation, AI, robotics, and energy systems.

Spiritual vacuum among populations whose labor and sense of purpose have been stripped away.

Ahrimanic technological dominance in the form of digital surveillance, military-industrial control, hypermaterialist science, and global capitalist systems.

A rising wave of rebellion, unrest, and disillusionment — exactly the "rebellious masses" Steiner foresaw in 1918, whose spiritual and social forces are often suppressed through both force and virtual entertainment.

 Simultaneously, the so-called ‘disclosure movement’ around extraterrestrial technologies mirrors the pattern: advanced energy and propulsion systems, potentially rooted in etheric principles, are kept under wraps, monopolized by black-budget programs, and weaponized, rather than shared for human benefit.
