...The
fourth event is the renewed incursion into the course of history of one of 'the
most powerful demons in our solar system', one of the 'greatest ahrimanic
demons', who is related to the number 666 and who bears the name Sorath. Rudolf
Steiner also calls him the 'Sun - Demon'. For the audience of priests at his
lectures on the Apocalypse ( GA 346 ) in 1924 he drew the occult sign for this
demon on the blackboard, as he had done before during the Apocalypse cycle of
lectures in Nuremberg in 1908. Observation of this sign can reveal much of its
spiritual nature, which is also true in the most positive sense for the signs
of Christ and Michael.
In the
Apocalypse lectures for the priests Steiner refers to the year 1998 as the
third 'Sorath year' of the Christian era. Anti - spiritual impulses of the
strongest kind are associated with every one of these Sorath years.
The first
Sorath year 666, is related to the Academy of Gondishapur, the activities of
which were intended to bring about a premature development of human
intellectuality; this was prevented and dampened down by the impulse of
Mohammed ( Islam ).
In the
period before the second Sorath year, the Order of the Knights Templar was
destroyed by King Philip the Fair of France and Pope Clement V who was beholden
to him: 'confessions' obtained under torture ( and later mostly recanted ) were
used to convict the Templars, who were arrested in a coup de main which took
place throughout France on a single night. In the period around the third
Sorath year of 1998 the great world catastrophe of 9/11 took place, 77 years
after Steiner's momentous revelations about Sorath in September 1924. This
resulted in acts of torture committed worldwide by the regime of the US
military junta in the name of the 'War on Terror', which were supposed to
secure the conviction of the perpetrators of terrorism and which in their cruelty
were on a par with the tortures committed against the Templars .
1914 --
1933: The Preludes to the Third Sorath Attack.
In his
lectures to the priests on the subject of the Apocalypse ( 'The Book of
Revelation and the Work of the Priest' ),
Rudolf
Steiner indicated that there would be grim preludes to the third attack by
Sorath. The first had played itself out at the time of the outburst of the
First World War: Steiner saw the second in Bolshevism, which burst upon the
world in 1917. We see a third prelude in Hitler's seizure of power in 1933 and
its consequences.
On 12
September 1924 Steiner said to the priests ( GA 346 ): 'The way will be paved
for the entry of the demons which are the servants of the great demon
Sorath":
"One
only needs to speak to informed people who, for example, know something about
the outbreak of the First World War. One will not be wrong when one says that
of the approximately 40 individuals who were responsible for the outbreak of
the war, almost all of them were in a state of lowered consciousness at the
time. That is always the point of entry for ahrimanic demonic powers, and one
of the greatest of these demons is Sorath. They are the attempts from the side
of Sorath to penetrate, at least temporarily at first, into human consciousness
and to bring disaster and confusion'
( 'Book of
Revelation' ).
On 31 May
1924 in the 14th Class Lesson, Steiner had already given at indication in just
this same direction. He spoke then too of the 30 - 40 individuals who had taken
part in the outbreak of the war and who 'at the decisive moment had a clouded
consciousness'. He even stated that precisely in this regard, an adequate
history of the war could never be written on the basis of documented outer
facts alone. 'This war can only be written in an occult sense'.
In the
lectures to the priests in September 1924, the ahrimanic spirituality that had
been active was described as sorathic - ahrimanic. It was not the war as such
that should be seen as the work of Sorath -- it had causes that had to do with
world - karma which to a considerable extent were to be traced back to the
division of East - West that was initiated by Rome in the ninth century -- but
rather, " what followed it and which is dreadful and will become even more
dreadful, for example the present condition of Russia, that is something which
the Sorath spirits pressing into human souls are striving for'. The rising tide
of Bolshevism therefore, together with its gulags that showed themselves later,
were described as sorathic -- that is, radically anti - human and anti -
spiritual.
The same
must be said in regard to the world - historical events of the year 1933:
National Socialism and and its anti - human institutions and activities were
ahrimanic and sorathic in nature, apart from the more luciferic pomp and
display, which, for example, was on show at the cultic Nazi Party rallies. 'One
will see people', said Steiner on 12 September 1924, 'whom one cannot believe
are actually human. Outwardly, they will have intensely strong natures and
violent disposition, a destructive will in their emotions...they will pour
scorn in the most appalling manner on everything spiritual and fight against it
and throw it on the fire". Such people did appear during the 12 year -
long horror of the Nazi regime: they appeared during the 70 year - long
nightmare of Bolshevism. And Steiner prophesied that what was concentrated
"in its core' in Bolshevism at that time, 'would be inserted into the
whole earthly development of mankind'.
Doubtless
this also applies to what was 'concentrated' in Nazism. The same could be said
with regard to developments in China and other states in Asia .
All of
this, however, represented 'only' a kind of variegated prelude to the main
attack around the year 1998. Now the human beings inspired by Sorath appeared
more within the Americanism that had risen to world power since 1945 and which
is concerned -- and from the world - historical perspective indeed must be
concerned -- to ensure that the sorathic seeds of earthly development that were
sown in Bolshevism and Nazism are permanently incorporated in this development:
in order words, that the formation of the two sole remaining great "Races'
of the sixth Great Earth Epoch will actually be accomplished -- that of
spiritually oriented human individualities and that which rages in fury against
everything which is of a spiritual nature. ( sic. )
1933 and
the Beast from the Earth
In the
Apocalypse lectures of September 1924 Steiner revealed something that was of
great significance with regard to the year 1933. He indicated that the
"beasts' in the Apocalypse always have to do with comets and their
appearances. Some comets have favourable effects, others negative effects. Such
negative effects would have stemmed from a particular comet which, if it had
turned up at the time calculated for it, would have destroyed the Earth in
1933, but it did not so because it had broken apart earlier. This indeed
happened but, because of it, the Earth was permeated by the substance of the
comet which then rose up out of the Earth in the year 1933 -- as the substance
of the two - horned beast.
So the year
1933 was both the year of the Etheric Christ and also the year of the strongest
prelude to the world - historical attack by Sorath which culminated in 1998 .
Sympathy
for the Devil .
Rudolf
Steiner already indicated in Stockholm in 1910 that around 1933 there will be
envoys of "black magic schools who will announce the false appearance of a
physical Christ'. Such teachings about Christ one can find among Seventh Day
Adventists, so called Evangelist Christians and Mormons. In addition, one can
speak of a perverse tendency throughout the twentieth century to make sorathic
evil ever more socially acceptable. Alistair Crowley, the English occultist
with black magic inclinations and methods, can be regarded as a ground -
breaker in this direction. Crowley identified himself with the "Beast'
from the Apocalypse. One of the founding members of the rock band the Rolling
Stones, Mick Jagger, became interested in Crowley. Symtomatic of this deviant
tendency was the band's song 'Sympathy for the Devil', which could be heard
playing prior to Barack Obama's first public speech in Berlin before his
election as US President.
Also in
Berlin, in 1989, the year of 'the fall of the Wall' the 'Sorat' Hotel Group was
founded: twelve hotels in Germany now bear the name 'Sorat'. ..Charles Kovacs
created a painting of Sorath which portrays in a masterly fashion the
glisteningly seductive amd utter heartlessness of the 'Beast'. ( see picture
accompanying article )
The
Incarnation of Ahriman in the West at the Beginning of the Third Millennium.
The fifth
spiritual event in the Age of Michael thus far is the incarnation of Ahriman in
the West, which Rudolf Steiner spoke about in a series of lectures in the
autumn of 1919 ( see GA 191 & 193 ). This event falls at the beginning of
the third millennium. Unlike the exact indications of time for all the previous
four events ( see Thomas Meyer's book: 'In the Sign of Five: 1879 - 1899 - 1933
- 1998 - Today ) here we must be satisfied with an approximate indication but
one which, seen in the context of the time, is yet quite precise, and which in
any case has to do with the beginning of our millennium. This comes from the
following indications by Rudolf Steiner on 1 November 1919. In this lecture,
Steiner states that the incarnation of Ahriman will occur "before even a
part of the third millennium of the Christian era has run its course" ( GA
191 ). This formulation points to the first decade of this millennium, if by
'part' one understands a hundredth of a millennium . It seems to us improbable
that, by 'part', Steiner could have meant a tenth of the third millennium; if
so, his prophecy would have referred in a vague fashion to the whole of the
twenty - first century.
The Sorath
attack of 1998 represents the direct historical prelude to the incarnation of
Ahriman. It is the first and only incarnation of this being, comparable with
the single incarnation of Lucifer in the third millennium B.C. and the
Incarnation of Christ at the Turning Point of Time in Palestine.
Steiner
indicated a whole series of phenomena and tendencies through which Ahriman has
sought to prepare for his incarnation in ways that would be favorable to him.
The means by which, in Ahriman"s sense, this incarnation can be most
successfully prepared for are, amongst others: the spread of the ideology and
practice of nationalism and racism; the belief in the omnipotent nature of
statistical data, for example also in medical practice; political party
management; a one - sided materialistic cosmology; the tendency to spiritual
revelations that make no demands on the recipients, and the belief in the
omnipotence of the unitary State. And last but not least: the false, that is,
the literal understanding of the Gospels, uninformed by spiritual perspectives.
The
sorathic battle against the pure form.of spiritual science
While the
Academy of Gondishapur soaked up Aristotelian know and developed it in an anti
- Christian direction, something very similar is going on at present with the
spiritual science of Rudolf Steiner. Its actual spiritual character is to be
stripped away, intellectualized, 'contexualized', computerized and canibalized
for certain particular interests, and thereby its actual substance will be
annihilated. The Gondishapur of the first post - Christian era lay within the
territory of today's SW Iran; the present 'Gondishapur' embraces the region
from Silicon Valley to Salt Lake City, a region which extends its electro -
magnetic intellectual tentacles via the internet and Facebook throughout the
entire world. The point here is not to criticize the human instruments involved
in such efforts. One who wishes to understand a 'Reinecke' has to look towards
his inspirer, as Steiner's fourth Mystery Drama shows. It would not, for
example, be worth discussion the fact that an astonishingly well - 'informed'
personality ( a Ph D. ) is today seeking to become a leading 'standard -
setting' specialist in Anthroposophy: he happens to be from the world of
Mormonism, amongst other things, teaches the physical return of Christ and
which, without being requested to do so, provides for humanity the blessings of
'salvation - bestowing' post - mortem baptisms ( one such was performed on
'Rudolf Steiner', on 20 January 1992 ). Statements such as the following
suffice to suggest the intellectual and moral standing of the personality in
question: 'If Anthroposophists really want to know whether Steiner was a Plato
or a Cagliostro, they must release him from the prison of their own
interpretations'
Who could
take seriously someone capable of such a comment, who mocks in this way both
the karmic realities linked to Steiner as well as healthy human reason? -- to
say nothing of other things. It is noteworthy in the fullest sense of the word,
however, how many 'well - known' anthposophers with a certain, scarcely
restrained inclination to hanker after recognition by the world of academia
turn a blind eye to the tendentious one - sidednesses, absurdities, and
distastefulness of this enterprise.
This shows
a notable clouding of the capacity for judgement. The source of this clouding
lies in the spiritual beings under discussion here and in their following:
spiritual science could teach people to identity this source, but apparently,
not all 'anthroposophers' seek what is vital spiritual scientific knowledge...

um dos "maiores demônios arimânicos", que está relacionado ao número

Em 12 de setembro de 1924, Steiner disse aos sacerdotes (GA
346): "O caminho será pavimentado para a entrada dos demônios que são
servos do grande demônio Sorath":
Basta falar com pessoas informadas que, por exemplo, saibam
algo sobre a eclosão da Primeira Guerra Mundial. Não se estará errado ao dizer
que, dos cerca de 40 indivíduos responsáveis pela eclosão da guerra, quase
todos estavam em estado de consciência rebaixada na época. Esse é sempre o
ponto de entrada para poderes demoníacos ahrimânicos, e um dos maiores desses
demônios é Sorath. São tentativas da parte de Sorath de penetrar, pelo menos
temporariamente a princípio, na consciência humana e trazer desastre e
confusão.

Em 31 de maio de 1924, na 14ª aula, Steiner já havia dado
uma indicação exatamente nessa mesma direção. Ele também falou dos 30 a 40
indivíduos que participaram da eclosão da guerra e que "no momento
decisivo estavam com a consciência turva". Ele chegou a afirmar que,
justamente nesse aspecto, uma história adequada da guerra jamais poderia ser
escrita com base apenas em fatos externos documentados. "Esta guerra só
pode ser escrita em um sentido oculto".
Nas palestras aos sacerdotes em setembro de 1924, a
espiritualidade arimânica que estivera ativa foi descrita como
sorática-ahrimânica. Não era a guerra em si que deveria ser vista como obra de
Sorath – ela tinha causas relacionadas ao carma mundial, que, em grande parte,
remontavam à divisão entre Oriente e Ocidente iniciada por Roma no século IX –
mas sim "o que se seguiu e que é terrível e se tornará ainda mais
terrível, por exemplo, a condição atual da Rússia, algo pelo qual os espíritos
Sorath, que pressionam as almas humanas, lutam". A maré crescente do
bolchevismo, portanto, juntamente com seus gulags que se manifestaram
posteriormente, foi descrita como sorática – isto é, radicalmente anti-humana e
anti-espiritual.
O mesmo deve ser dito em relação aos eventos históricos
mundiais do ano de 1933: o Nacional-Socialismo e suas instituições e atividades
anti-humanas eram de natureza arimânica e sorática, além da pompa e ostentação
mais luciféricas, que, por exemplo, eram exibidas nos comícios de culto do
Partido Nazista. "Veremos pessoas", disse Steiner em 12 de setembro
de 1924, "que não se pode acreditar que sejam realmente humanas.
Exteriormente, elas terão naturezas intensamente fortes e disposição violenta,
uma vontade destrutiva em suas emoções... elas desprezarão da maneira mais
apavorante tudo o que é espiritual, lutarão contra isso e o lançarão no
fogo". Tais pessoas apareceram durante os 12 anos de horror do regime
nazista: elas apareceram durante os 70 anos de pesadelo do bolchevismo. E
Steiner profetizou que o que estava concentrado "em seu núcleo" no
bolchevismo naquela época, "seria inserido em todo o desenvolvimento
terreno da humanidade".
Sem dúvida, isso também se aplica ao que estava
"concentrado" no nazismo. O mesmo poderia ser dito em relação aos
acontecimentos na China e em outros Estados asiáticos.
Tudo isso, no entanto, representava 'apenas' uma espécie de
prelúdio variegado para o ataque principal por volta do ano de 1998. Agora, os
seres humanos inspirados por Sorath pareciam mais dentro do Americanismo que
havia ascendido ao poder mundial desde 1945 e que está preocupado — e, da
perspectiva histórica mundial, de fato deve estar preocupado — em garantir que
as sementes soráticas do desenvolvimento terrestre que foram semeadas no
bolchevismo e no nazismo sejam permanentemente incorporadas a esse desenvolvimento:
em outras palavras, que a formação das duas únicas grandes "Raças"
restantes da sexta Grande Época Terrestre seja realmente realizada — a das
individualidades humanas orientadas espiritualmente e aquela que se enfurece
contra tudo que é de natureza espiritual. (sic.)
1933 e a Besta da Terra
Nas palestras sobre o Apocalipse de setembro de 1924,
Steiner revelou algo de grande importância em relação ao ano de 1933. Ele
indicou que as "bestas" no Apocalipse sempre têm a ver com cometas e
suas aparições. Alguns cometas têm efeitos favoráveis, outros, negativos. Tais
efeitos negativos teriam se originado de um cometa específico que, se tivesse
aparecido na época calculada, teria destruído a Terra em 1933, mas não o fez
porque se fragmentou antes. Isso de fato aconteceu, mas, por causa disso, a
Terra foi permeada pela substância do cometa que então se elevou da Terra no
ano de 1933 — como a substância da besta de dois chifres.
Portanto, o ano de 1933 foi tanto o ano do Cristo Etérico
quanto o ano do mais forte prelúdio do ataque histórico mundial de Sorath, que
culminou em 1998.
Simpatia pelo Diabo.
Rudolf Steiner já havia indicado em Estocolmo, em 1910, que
por volta de 1933 haveria emissários de "escolas de magia negra que
anunciariam a falsa aparição de um Cristo físico". Tais ensinamentos sobre
Cristo podem ser encontrados entre os Adventistas do Sétimo Dia, os chamados
cristãos evangelistas e mórmons. Além disso, pode-se falar de uma tendência
perversa ao longo do século XX de tornar o mal sorático cada vez mais
socialmente aceitável. Alistair Crowley, o ocultista inglês com inclinações e
métodos de magia negra, pode ser considerado um pioneiro nessa direção. Crowley
se identificou com a "Besta" do Apocalipse. Um dos membros fundadores
da banda de rock Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger, interessou-se por Crowley. Um
sintoma dessa tendência desviante era a música da banda "Sympathy for the
Devil", que podia ser ouvida tocando antes do primeiro discurso público de
Barack Obama em Berlim, antes de sua eleição como presidente dos EUA.
Também em Berlim, em 1989, o ano da "queda do
Muro", foi fundado o "Sorat" Hotel Group: doze hotéis na
Alemanha agora ostentam o nome "Sorat". ..Charles Kovacs criou uma
pintura de Sorath que retrata de forma magistral a sedução reluzente e a total
crueldade da "Besta". (veja a imagem que acompanha o artigo)
A Encarnação de Ahriman no Ocidente no Início do Terceiro
Milênio.
O quinto evento espiritual na Era de Michael até agora é a
encarnação de Ahriman no Ocidente, sobre a qual Rudolf Steiner falou em uma
série de palestras no outono de 1919 (ver GA 191 e 193). Este evento ocorre no
início do terceiro milênio. Ao contrário das indicações exatas de tempo para
todos os quatro eventos anteriores (ver o livro de Thomas Meyer: "No Signo
dos Cinco: 1879-1899-1933-1998 - Hoje"), aqui devemos nos contentar com
uma indicação aproximada, mas que, vista no contexto da época, é bastante precisa
e que, em qualquer caso, tem a ver com o início do nosso milênio. Isso vem das
seguintes indicações de Rudolf Steiner em 1º de novembro de 1919. Nesta
palestra, Steiner afirma que a encarnação de Ahriman ocorrerá "antes mesmo
que uma parte do terceiro milênio da era cristã tenha terminado" (GA 191).
Esta formulação aponta para a primeira década deste milênio, se por
"parte" se entender um centésimo de milênio. Parece-nos improvável
que, por "parte", Steiner pudesse se referir a um décimo do terceiro
milênio; se assim fosse, sua profecia se referiria vagamente a todo o século
XXI.
O ataque de Sorath em 1998 representa o prelúdio histórico
direto para a encarnação de Ahriman. É a primeira e única encarnação deste ser,
comparável à única encarnação de Lúcifer no terceiro milênio a.C. e à
Encarnação de Cristo no Ponto de Virada do Tempo na Palestina.
Steiner indicou toda uma série de fenômenos e tendências por
meio dos quais Ahriman buscou se preparar para sua encarnação de maneiras que
lhe fossem favoráveis. Os meios pelos quais, no sentido de Ahriman, essa
encarnação pode ser preparada com mais sucesso são, entre outros: a
disseminação da ideologia e da prática do nacionalismo e do racismo; a crença
na natureza onipotente dos dados estatísticos, por exemplo, também na prática
médica; a gestão de partidos políticos; uma cosmologia materialista unilateral;
a tendência a revelações espirituais que não exigem nada dos destinatários e a
crença na onipotência do Estado unitário. E por último, mas não menos
importante: a falsa, isto é, a interpretação literal dos Evangelhos,
desinformada por perspectivas espirituais.
A batalha sorática contra a forma pura da ciência espiritual
Enquanto a Academia de Gondishapur absorveu o conhecimento
aristotélico e o desenvolveu em uma direção anticristã, algo muito semelhante
está acontecendo atualmente com a ciência espiritual de Rudolf Steiner. Seu
verdadeiro caráter espiritual deve ser despojado, intelectualizado,
"contextualizado", computadorizado e canibalizado para certos
interesses particulares, e assim sua substância real será aniquilada. O
Gondishapur da primeira era pós-cristã situava-se no território do atual
sudoeste do Irã; o atual "Gondishapur" abrange a região do Vale do
Silício a Salt Lake City, uma região que estende seus tentáculos intelectuais
eletromagnéticos via internet e Facebook para todo o mundo. A questão aqui não
é criticar os instrumentos humanos envolvidos em tais esforços. Quem deseja
compreender um "Reinecke" precisa olhar para seu inspirador, como
mostra o quarto Drama de Mistério de Steiner. Não valeria a pena, por exemplo,
discutir o fato de que uma personalidade surpreendentemente bem "informada"
(um Ph. D.) esteja hoje buscando se tornar um importante especialista em
"estabelecimento de padrões" em Antroposofia: ele vem do mundo do
mormonismo, que, entre outras coisas, ensina o retorno físico de Cristo e, sem
ser solicitado a fazê-lo, fornece à humanidade as bênçãos dos batismos
post-mortem "conferentes de salvação" (um deles foi realizado em
"Rudolf Steiner", em 20 de janeiro de 1992). Declarações como a
seguinte são suficientes para sugerir a posição intelectual e moral da personalidade
em questão: "Se os antropósofos realmente querem saber se Steiner foi um
Platão ou um Cagliostro, eles devem libertá-lo da prisão de suas próprias
interpretações".
Quem levaria a sério alguém capaz de tal comentário, que
zomba dessa forma tanto das realidades cármicas ligadas a Steiner quanto da
razão humana sadia? -- para não falar de outras coisas. É notável, no sentido
mais amplo da palavra, no entanto, quantos antropósofos "conhecidos",
com uma certa inclinação, quase incontida, para ansiar por reconhecimento no
mundo acadêmico, ignoram as tendenciosas unilateralidades, os absurdos e o
desagrado desse empreendimento.
Isso demonstra uma notável turvação da capacidade de
julgamento. A fonte dessa turvação reside nos seres espirituais em discussão

...The fourth event is the renewed incursion into the course of history of one of 'the most powerful demons in our solar system', one of the 'greatest ahrimanic demons', who is related to the number 666 and who bears the name Sorath. Rudolf Steiner also calls him the 'Sun - Demon'. For the audience of priests at his lectures on the Apocalypse ( GA 346 ) in 1924 he drew the occult sign for this demon on the blackboard, as he had done before during the Apocalypse cycle of lectures in Nuremberg in 1908. Observation of this sign can reveal much of its spiritual nature, which is also true in the most positive sense for the signs of Christ and Michael.
In the Apocalypse lectures for the priests Steiner refers to the year 1998 as the third 'Sorath year' of the Christian era. Anti - spiritual impulses of the strongest kind are associated with every one of these Sorath years.
The first Sorath year 666, is related to the Academy of Gondishapur, the activities of which were intended to bring about a premature development of human intellectuality; this was prevented and dampened down by the impulse of Mohammed ( Islam ).
In the period before the second Sorath year, the Order of the Knights Templar was destroyed by King Philip the Fair of France and Pope Clement V who was beholden to him: 'confessions' obtained under torture ( and later mostly recanted ) were used to convict the Templars, who were arrested in a coup de main which took place throughout France on a single night. In the period around the third Sorath year of 1998 the great world catastrophe of 9/11 took place, 77 years after Steiner's momentous revelations about Sorath in September 1924. This resulted in acts of torture committed worldwide by the regime of the US military junta in the name of the 'War on Terror', which were supposed to secure the conviction of the perpetrators of terrorism and which in their cruelty were on a par with the tortures committed against the Templars .
1914 -- 1933: The Preludes to the Third Sorath Attack.
In his lectures to the priests on the subject of the Apocalypse ( 'The Book of Revelation and the Work of the Priest' ),
Rudolf Steiner indicated that there would be grim preludes to the third attack by Sorath. The first had played itself out at the time of the outburst of the First World War: Steiner saw the second in Bolshevism, which burst upon the world in 1917. We see a third prelude in Hitler's seizure of power in 1933 and its consequences.
On 12 September 1924 Steiner said to the priests ( GA 346 ): 'The way will be paved for the entry of the demons which are the servants of the great demon Sorath":
"One only needs to speak to informed people who, for example, know something about the outbreak of the First World War. One will not be wrong when one says that of the approximately 40 individuals who were responsible for the outbreak of the war, almost all of them were in a state of lowered consciousness at the time. That is always the point of entry for ahrimanic demonic powers, and one of the greatest of these demons is Sorath. They are the attempts from the side of Sorath to penetrate, at least temporarily at first, into human consciousness and to bring disaster and confusion'
( 'Book of Revelation' ).
On 31 May 1924 in the 14th Class Lesson, Steiner had already given at indication in just this same direction. He spoke then too of the 30 - 40 individuals who had taken part in the outbreak of the war and who 'at the decisive moment had a clouded consciousness'. He even stated that precisely in this regard, an adequate history of the war could never be written on the basis of documented outer facts alone. 'This war can only be written in an occult sense'.
In the lectures to the priests in September 1924, the ahrimanic spirituality that had been active was described as sorathic - ahrimanic. It was not the war as such that should be seen as the work of Sorath -- it had causes that had to do with world - karma which to a considerable extent were to be traced back to the division of East - West that was initiated by Rome in the ninth century -- but rather, " what followed it and which is dreadful and will become even more dreadful, for example the present condition of Russia, that is something which the Sorath spirits pressing into human souls are striving for'. The rising tide of Bolshevism therefore, together with its gulags that showed themselves later, were described as sorathic -- that is, radically anti - human and anti - spiritual.
The same must be said in regard to the world - historical events of the year 1933: National Socialism and and its anti - human institutions and activities were ahrimanic and sorathic in nature, apart from the more luciferic pomp and display, which, for example, was on show at the cultic Nazi Party rallies. 'One will see people', said Steiner on 12 September 1924, 'whom one cannot believe are actually human. Outwardly, they will have intensely strong natures and violent disposition, a destructive will in their emotions...they will pour scorn in the most appalling manner on everything spiritual and fight against it and throw it on the fire". Such people did appear during the 12 year - long horror of the Nazi regime: they appeared during the 70 year - long nightmare of Bolshevism. And Steiner prophesied that what was concentrated "in its core' in Bolshevism at that time, 'would be inserted into the whole earthly development of mankind'.
Doubtless this also applies to what was 'concentrated' in Nazism. The same could be said with regard to developments in China and other states in Asia .
All of this, however, represented 'only' a kind of variegated prelude to the main attack around the year 1998. Now the human beings inspired by Sorath appeared more within the Americanism that had risen to world power since 1945 and which is concerned -- and from the world - historical perspective indeed must be concerned -- to ensure that the sorathic seeds of earthly development that were sown in Bolshevism and Nazism are permanently incorporated in this development: in order words, that the formation of the two sole remaining great "Races' of the sixth Great Earth Epoch will actually be accomplished -- that of spiritually oriented human individualities and that which rages in fury against everything which is of a spiritual nature. ( sic. )
1933 and the Beast from the Earth
In the Apocalypse lectures of September 1924 Steiner revealed something that was of great significance with regard to the year 1933. He indicated that the "beasts' in the Apocalypse always have to do with comets and their appearances. Some comets have favourable effects, others negative effects. Such negative effects would have stemmed from a particular comet which, if it had turned up at the time calculated for it, would have destroyed the Earth in 1933, but it did not so because it had broken apart earlier. This indeed happened but, because of it, the Earth was permeated by the substance of the comet which then rose up out of the Earth in the year 1933 -- as the substance of the two - horned beast.
So the year 1933 was both the year of the Etheric Christ and also the year of the strongest prelude to the world - historical attack by Sorath which culminated in 1998 .
Rudolf Steiner already indicated in Stockholm in 1910 that around 1933 there will be envoys of "black magic schools who will announce the false appearance of a physical Christ'. Such teachings about Christ one can find among Seventh Day Adventists, so called Evangelist Christians and Mormons. In addition, one can speak of a perverse tendency throughout the twentieth century to make sorathic evil ever more socially acceptable. Alistair Crowley, the English occultist with black magic inclinations and methods, can be regarded as a ground - breaker in this direction. Crowley identified himself with the "Beast' from the Apocalypse. One of the founding members of the rock band the Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger, became interested in Crowley. Symtomatic of this deviant tendency was the band's song 'Sympathy for the Devil', which could be heard playing prior to Barack Obama's first public speech in Berlin before his election as US President.
Also in Berlin, in 1989, the year of 'the fall of the Wall' the 'Sorat' Hotel Group was founded: twelve hotels in Germany now bear the name 'Sorat'. ..Charles Kovacs created a painting of Sorath which portrays in a masterly fashion the glisteningly seductive amd utter heartlessness of the 'Beast'. The Incarnation of Ahriman in the West at the Beginning of the Third Millennium.
The fifth spiritual event in the Age of Michael thus far is the incarnation of Ahriman in the West, which Rudolf Steiner spoke about in a series of lectures in the autumn of 1919 ( see GA 191 & 193 ). This event falls at the beginning of the third millennium. Unlike the exact indications of time for all the previous four events ( see Thomas Meyer's book: 'In the Sign of Five: 1879 - 1899 - 1933 - 1998 - Today ) here we must be satisfied with an approximate indication but one which, seen in the context of the time, is yet quite precise, and which in any case has to do with the beginning of our millennium. This comes from the following indications by Rudolf Steiner on 1 November 1919. In this lecture, Steiner states that the incarnation of Ahriman will occur "before even a part of the third millennium of the Christian era has run its course" ( GA 191 ). This formulation points to the first decade of this millennium, if by 'part' one understands a hundredth of a millennium . It seems to us improbable that, by 'part', Steiner could have meant a tenth of the third millennium; if so, his prophecy would have referred in a vague fashion to the whole of the twenty - first century.
The Sorath attack of 1998 represents the direct historical prelude to the incarnation of Ahriman. It is the first and only incarnation of this being, comparable with the single incarnation of Lucifer in the third millennium B.C. and the Incarnation of Christ at the Turning Point of Time in Palestine.
Steiner indicated a whole series of phenomena and tendencies through which Ahriman has sought to prepare for his incarnation in ways that would be favorable to him. The means by which, in Ahriman"s sense, this incarnation can be most successfully prepared for are, amongst others: the spread of the ideology and practice of nationalism and racism; the belief in the omnipotent nature of statistical data, for example also in medical practice; political party management; a one - sided materialistic cosmology; the tendency to spiritual revelations that make no demands on the recipients, and the belief in the omnipotence of the unitary State. And last but not least: the false, that is, the literal understanding of the Gospels, uninformed by spiritual perspectives.
The sorathic battle against the pure form.of spiritual science
While the Academy of Gondishapur soaked up Aristotelian know and developed it in an anti - Christian direction, something very similar is going on at present with the spiritual science of Rudolf Steiner. Its actual spiritual character is to be stripped away, intellectualized, 'contexualized', computerized and canibalized for certain particular interests, and thereby its actual substance will be annihilated. The Gondishapur of the first post - Christian era lay within the territory of today's SW Iran; the present 'Gondishapur' embraces the region from Silicon Valley to Salt Lake City, a region which extends its electro - magnetic intellectual tentacles via the internet and Facebook throughout the entire world. The point here is not to criticize the human instruments involved in such efforts. One who wishes to understand a 'Reinecke' has to look towards his inspirer, as Steiner's fourth Mystery Drama shows. It would not, for example, be worth discussion the fact that an astonishingly well - 'informed' personality ( a Ph D. ) is today seeking to become a leading 'standard - setting' specialist in Anthroposophy: he happens to be from the world of Mormonism, amongst other things, teaches the physical return of Christ and which, without being requested to do so, provides for humanity the blessings of 'salvation - bestowing' post - mortem baptisms ( one such was performed on 'Rudolf Steiner', on 20 January 1992 ). Statements such as the following suffice to suggest the intellectual and moral standing of the personality in question: 'If Anthroposophists really want to know whether Steiner was a Plato or a Cagliostro, they must release him from the prison of their own interpretations'
Who could take seriously someone capable of such a comment, who mocks in this way both the karmic realities linked to Steiner as well as healthy human reason? -- to say nothing of other things. It is noteworthy in the fullest sense of the word, however, how many 'well - known' anthposophers with a certain, scarcely restrained inclination to hanker after recognition by the world of academia turn a blind eye to the tendentious one - sidednesses, absurdities, and distastefulness of this enterprise.
This shows a notable clouding of the capacity for judgement. The source of this clouding lies in the spiritual beings under discussion here and in their following: spiritual science could teach people to identity this source, but apparently, not all 'anthroposophers' seek what is vital spiritual scientific knowledge...
